About US
Arne Johansson has always enjoyed the outdoor lifestyle.
Hunting , fishing and camping have always been a big part of his life. In 1968 he answered an ad in a magazine that invited people to “learn the fascinating art of taxidermy” and this lifelong journey began. He has always strived to improve, and has spent years perfecting his trade. In the early 1980’s, he was a director of the Western Canadian Guild of Taxidermists, a group who kick started competition taxidermy in Western Canada.
He has travelled extensively taking training from experts in their field of taxidermy, molding the skills he has today. Hidden Creek Taxidermy Studio is located 8 miles northeast of Edson, Alberta. The original shop was constructed in 1980, and 2010 saw an expansion to the original facility allowing for a new and exciting showroom addition. Hidden Creek Taxidermy is a full time professional operation that caters to serious sports men and women. We encourage you to visit our facilities and hope we can be of service to you by capturing your trophies in the most lifelike manner we can.
